Switching to Made in Japan - Finished in Sweden product

I was struggling and fighting with my Nokia phone device from this summer, low battery, losing connections and other problems, that was great because I just entered third year with the same phone that I bought as new in summer 2001. I usually like phones that have good usability and fast access and connections that is what I call usefulness.

I was talking one day to Sverker (HyperIsland) about the Telecommunication devices and he just strongly recommended me to have a Sony Ericsson phone showing me amazing interaction with his Mac PowerBook G4.

For long time I’m not much associated with Sony brand, while ago I had a Sony TV which exploded in the middle of the night but due to fast intervention with members of my family we managed to put down the fire and to rescue our home, Remember!!! That was Sony TV brand…after that nightmare I started to dislike this brand…

I went to Vodafone store in Karlskrona and I was covered with Japan-Swedish products which they deserve maximum respect, just to make the point of the story I asked the guy who works there “What do I get if I buy an Sony-Ericsson mobile phone?” He answered to me: “You get GPRS, MMS, Bluetooth, WAP and other services explaining other benefits of the Vodafone Live!” in related to the phone which was created specially for Vodafone users.
This is great! He knows how to sell the product (I was asking for any free tools such as Bluetooth USB or something else), in other places (countries) the seller will automatically start telling me that I get free collar, fancy mobile bag, color screen in the phone, smile from all the sellers in the store ect.

I bought the phone and start to try it.
After the charging procedure I got my phone turned on. Ups! Immediately I went online through WAP, I got message that I’m not registered yet, Ups! I clicked yes and then “Message has been sent” where? dunno! I got an SMS, I got another SMS, third SMS, wired. My SIM card was turned into English before but I’m still getting Swedish SMS, I guess now I’m registered, then comes the message “You don’t have any number in phone Import?, by default Yes! Loading….then I was trying to stop everything to see the main view of the phone! I did hmmm! I dragged the button-cursor up and I went online again. Damn! Every time I pressed something I went online.

Hold on! I’m interesting to connect Bluetooth or Infrared with my computer! I got a Sony Ericsson CD in phone pack, let’s install that. As always stupid Windows request restarting, Install Communication Suites now! Restart, Install Image Editor, Restart, Install MMS Studio, Restart!

I clicked the installed restarted programs and communication with phone, fail, unable to connect! What the heck is this?
My Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D (now Japan-German) laptop doesn’t have any Bluetooth port, or Infrared Port, I just gave up for that night! Let’s call a friend of mine in Kosovo to hear what is the situation after elections there, “sorry you don’t have enough credits to call this number”

How come?
I checked the credit status and: “You have 15 Kr (Krona) and 72 Ora”. What? Where did I spend money? Aha!! I know it’s a thing called Sony Ericsson (Made in Japan - Finished in Sweden) and its online connection…this is just a beginning! I decided to switch…what can I do else?
