I was checking the “Zeitgeist” Google’s page that is regularly updated to reflect lists, graphs, and other tidbits of information related to Google user search behavior, and I was curious to know in what field Swedish people are more interested on.

Aftonbladet query is leading in the first place as the real news source and up to date portal for Sweden, but in the rest of the list is fully competition query for celebrities such as Britney, Paris Hilton, Pamela, Carmen Electra ect. Comparing to US users that are searching the news about their presidential candidates Kerry vs. Bush, in Sweden everything is calm as always, the people look forward more to entertain their self rather being involved in politics which is amazing thing. Here is the full list of Google most search queries:

1. Aftonbladet - Swedish online portal updated frequently with news related in all areas including international news as well.

2. Britney Spears - Why does the Swedish people still search for Britney, what do they get from her?. I’m surprised how she still “owns” the teenage target audience especially in Nordic countries.

3. Blocket - I was searching about Blocket as well because I wanted to buy a bike and I haven’t done that thanks to Bjorn (Nale) who is giving me his bike quiet often. Blocked is Swedish eBay even more popular.

4. Paris Hilton - is one of the most hysterical noncelebrity celebrities ever and is enjoying sundance to the hilt (Googlism source)

5. dc++ - Google doesn’t know yet about dc++, but if you search for DC as a query, sends you at DC Comics or you can go to Washington DC.

6. Lunarstorm - is the by far biggest online community in sweden and was elected best swedish website 2002 by internet world. Hold on, I went at W3C and this site is not validated with web standards (W3C). Never mind, the priority of the visit to this site is to meet new friends, hmm that’s great. Swedish young people want to be more socialised, perfect!.

7. Lexikon - I guess this Swedish - English lexicon website was more searched by foreign people in Sweden, I’m providing you with good link to learn basic Swedish: Learn Swedish

8. Snyggast - Another online community for young people in Sweden.

9. Pamela Anderson - No Comment!
