Lunch with Maria Rankka

Today I had lunch conversation with Maria Rankka Head of Timbro.se and former protocol head and brand manager of Carl Bildt who is also lecturing in IPKO Institute about Branding and Marketing . One of the issues that we talked about was the current situation in Kosovo and the new gateways toward European Union. I also gave her some statistics about current situation which Im also going to share with you.

Kosovo its under UNMIK administration for the moment, as a Kosovo citizen you are able to travel only in 39 countries in the world and in only 2 of them (Albania and Macedonia) you can travel without visa.

Kosovo also has its own car plates (123-KS-456) which are again recognized only in 4 countries (Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and Macedonia). The export level is so low since we got used only to import goods from Macedonia, Slovenia, Turkey and other countries. The economic situation is depending a lot in Kosovo status. When Kosovo will be independent country there will be a huge possibly economic growth who will also attract foreign investors to come and invest in this place. The privatization process is in good level and majority of Kosovo population speaks different foreign languages and a lot of more things, So the future depends in Kosovo status and in free movement of Kosovars building their economy and education as we are doing now with IPKO Institute.

Here is the list of countries which recognizes the Unmik Travel Document
