A lot of people make the mistake of relating low cost with low price (i.e. earnings). If anything, low cost is an advantage in troubled times.
Oil price will pose a severe threat to airlines profitability, EasyJet is already shaking, they claim that cost of carrying had risen by 5.50 Eur / costumer to to the accelerating cost of fuel and Ryanair I predict wont be able to handle things in next years.
