I came back from LIFT Conference 2007, Geneva 7-9 February 2007. I had an opportunity to meet new people, new idea, new challenges and new technologies. Wasn’t it what is LIFT about? Yes.

I will post some more lift notes in following days, also i have to copy paste stories from Berlin and Copenhagen this year.

European Union last month decided to insert more transparency in EU Council Meetings, and for the first time EU ministers hold discussion live on internet broadcast.

Presidency of the Council of the European Union - Finland is taking a major step on solving political and economical problems in Europe during their presidency. I believe this time Kosovo will be independent by the end of 2006, Slovenia, started to countdown their Eurozone membership by replacing Slovenian Tolar with EUR by 1 January 2007, (Kosovo is using EUR as official currency), Bulgaria and Romania are acceding countries to join EU Membership set in January 2007 and all other things now we have posibility to listen to live stream sessions online.

Web 2.0 Trademark discussions are floating around the blogosphere, recently O’Reilly set lawyers to IT@Cork non profit organisation for using the “Web 2.0 Conference” name. Here is a post explained from IT@Cork guys. John Battelle, Cory Doctorow (Boing Boing), O’Reilly Radar wrote first feedbacks and still waiting for Tim O’Reilly to come up with a final thoughts on Web 2.0 Trademark Issue. After seeing Web 2.0 Conference scheduled in Ireland I thought that O’Reilly expanded and organised the event in Europe.

Tudor Galos (blog) from Microsoft South East Europe presented Windows Visa in Microsoft Technology Update Seminar held in 09-05-2006 at Grand Hotel in Prishtina (Kosovo). The first immpresions were nice, and the user-interface got improved that much so its similar to Mac OS X in Windows standard colors. The think that I really like is New and improved Media Center which sends you in full-screen enviroment which you can navigate easy.

There were mentioned that security is high now with more than one security profile and with Windows Firewall Defender. Long awaited Longhorn Wista will be released by begining of 2007 or for priviledged users (licensed one) will be ready by the end of 2006.

During this seminar the most used keywords were Microsoft well known keywords: “License, Future and Subscription”

Recently I got invitation to attend Microsoft Tech Update which will be held in Grand Hotel in Prishtina on Tuesday 09.05.2006, presentations will cover technology concepts on helping emerging business in Kosova.

The agenda also includes presentations about Microsoft Dynamics Navision and CRM. I’m waiting to see also the live presentation of Microsoft Windows Vista the upcoming operating system developed by Microsoft. There will be also some presentations about Microsoft SQL 2005 and SharePoint Server

LIFT06 Conference is coming soon, in contribution to the event I did a mashup feeds mix with blogs of Speakers, Attendees, Organizers and Journalists who will be present at LIFT06, Geneva, Switzerland (2-3 February 2006). You will have chance to see bloggers writing from the conference into one page which gets updates when someone post something new.

This is just simple Feed-aggregator with Blogger titles for LIFT06, I will try to make it nicer in following days including LIFT06 Flickr Tag and some AJAX Environment where you can play with it.
